Stage I
You submit a 5-page short description of the project (German or English). Please submit this via our m4 Award application platform (link coming soon).
The short descriptions will be reviewed formally and thematically and recommendations will be made regarding the submission. You will receive comprehensive advice from BioM.
Stage II
You submit a max. 15-page project outline (German). Please submit it via our m4 Award application platform (link coming soon).
The m4 Award jury of industry experts and investors will review the outlines, selected teams will be invited for a pitch presentation.
You present your project to the m4 Award jury.
Based on the project outlines and the pitches, the m4 Award jury recommends the selected projects for funding.
Formal applications are submitted to Projekträger Jülich (PtJ).
BioM offers free advice on all stages of the competition. All information exchanged within the scope of the call will be treated confidentially. All rights of use and publication remain with the applicants.

Applicants from Würzburg or Regensburg
For applicants from Würzburg or Regensburg, the IGZ Würzburg or BioPark Regensburg will be happy to offer a free consultation on the application process.
Applicants from Würzburg and Regensburg submit both the 5-page project description and the 15-page project outline via our m4 Award applicant platform (link coming soon) and send a copy of their application to IGZ Würzburg or BioPark Regensburg.
